sunflower seeds

In bits & pieces on March 28, 2007 by carinasuyin

“What do you mean you’ve ran out? If that’s your most popular salad, then make MORE!! This is so annoying!”, the lady shouted at the hapless waitress. She sat down in a huff and spent the rest of the hour nitpicking about the food she ordered. Her male companion ate in silence and occasionally muttered some inaudible comments that seem to rile her up even more. At the volume she spoke, nobody was eavesdropping because the whole café could hear her. She was angry with so many things and so many people. All that food on her table and all she seemed to be eating was stress.

Made me wonder what use is being rich or being educated when you can’t enjoy what you are eating or be glad for someone’s company while having a meal…

  1. Maybe the waitress later provided the lady with a complimentary drink – “Coke + Spit”? 🙂

  2. Or perhaps the waitress believes in karmic retribution! The lady had coffee anyway 😛

  3. Support Bacteria – It’s the only culture some people have!

  4. Stress level went berserk. Hahaha…

  5. ticopi: Haha… that’s funny!

Meng Teck: Stress eats people… 🙂

  6. A few years ago, my frens & I were having dinner @ American Chillies and the highlight of our outing was to be the dessert…Molten Choc Cake.

When we wanted to order that, the waiter said…”sorry, maam. We’ve ran out of that”

Aiyoooo…i swear…if not for my heavy bum, i would have slide down my chair…i was SOOOOO dissapointed and said “how can that be!!!!”… macam nak nangis pun ada…I think my reaction was a testament for American Chillies on how good their desserts are and how heartbreaking it can be if one can’t get any.

It must be (and I believe still is) their most popular dessert.

  7. wahhhh… I know how that feels like too. Hmm… actually pelik juga ya, kenapa restaurants can run out of their most popular items?

  8. i can see my next dare in her actions.

how long did it go on for? maybe it was an MTV Boiling Point prank ^_^

  9. About an hour… when I left, they were still there but the lady’s temper had somewhat subsided 🙂

  10. Carina: Hmm… actually pelik juga ya, kenapa restaurants can run out of their most popular items?

To keep you coming back to try to get some! 😉
