manna from above

In bits & pieces on November 12, 2005 by carinasuyin

There was a flash of lightning, illuminating the room.
A lull of three seconds and then the crescendo of thunder.
And it poured, gloriously…

At last, the heaviness is no more.
I snuggled into bed, closed my eyes and took the sandman’s hands.
“I’ve waited for so long,” I whispered.
“You just sang the wrong song, that’s all…”

Vater unser im Himmel,
Geheiligt werde dein Name.
Dein Reich komme.

Amen.

  1. Our Father, who art in heaven,
    Hallowed be thy Name.
    Thy kingdom come.
    Thy will be done,
On earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
    And forgive us our trespasses,
As we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation,
    But deliver us from evil.
    For thine is the kingdom,
    and the power,
    and the glory,
    for ever and ever.

  2. The direct translation sounds more gempak hee…
